White River, SD – A generous contribution from the Mellette County Community Foundation will help give a new look to Horizon Health White River.
The $4,000 grant will support painting the interior of the clinic. The White River location was added to the Horizon Health footprint in 2002, and is dedicated to keeping communities well through affordable, high-quality health care.
“Receiving this grant will help us to breathe new life into our clinic space,” said Michelle Udelhoven, PA-C, Horizon’s White River provider and clinic manager. “We are so looking forward to being able to provide an even more welcoming space for our patients.”
The front lobby of the clinic was previously updated but the walls in the exam area will benefit from a consistent new paint job to help blend patching from previous construction projects. Udelhoven said she thinks the newly upgraded interior will give patients increased confidence that they are receiving quality care.
About Horizon Health Foundation
The Horizon Health Foundation was established in 2016 to ensure rural health care access to those in need and provide funding for Horizon Health. Horizon Health Foundation, a tax-exempt, non-profit corporation, seeks through responsible activities to encourage and derive sustaining gift support from current and former patients and interested friends, including corporate entities. The Horizon Health Foundation, operating in coordination with Horizon Health, is the duly designated fundraising arm for Horizon Health. In the broadest sense, the purpose of the Foundation is to create an awareness of the financial needs of Horizon Health, which are not provided by patient charges and to systematically implement plans by which dollar needs can be met.
