Foundation welcomes two new board members

(Howard, SD) – The Horizon Health Foundation would like to welcome Sadie Hansen and Todd Jordre to its Board of Directors.

Hansen was inspired to join the board because she loves the way Horizon Health Care impacts citizens in her community of Yankton, South Dakota, by providing services to individuals who are not financially able to afford healthcare. At Horizon, no one is turned away regardless of lack of insurance or financial status.  She hopes to use her extensive experience in grant writing to help support the Foundation’s mission.

Hansen holds bachelor’s degrees in international studies, political science, and Spanish. She received a Master of Public Administration with an emphasis in healthcare services from the University of South Dakota, and a long-term care management certificate. She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Health Sciences at USD. For the past 13 years she has been employed in a variety of roles at Avera Health in Yankton. She currently serves as a Patient Care Coordinator for Home Health and Hospice. She lives in Yankton with her husband Brandon and their two children, Stella, and Tydus.

Aberdeen resident Todd Jordre said he’s been fortunate to have access to health care throughout his life, making Horizon’s mission of providing affordable, accessible care to everyone meaningful to him.  His extensive background in fundraising, investment campaigns and deferred and annual giving sparked his interest in joining the board. He’d like to help the Foundation analyze and improve fundraising efforts.

Jordre holds a Bachelor of Science in Education and Master of Arts in Teaching from Northern State University. He is the former NSU Foundation President and CEO. He was previously employed as Regional Director of Power Wellness Management in Chicago, Illinois, as well as holding the position of Executive Director of the Avera McKennan Fitness Center in Sioux Falls. He is the Vice President of Business Development at Plains Commerce Bank.

“I'm thrilled to have Sadie and Todd join our incredible group of board members,” Tracy Pardy, Foundation Executive Director, said. “They will represent our clinic communities very well and help us with partnerships to continue towards our mission of inspiring and empowering our patients by providing funding for accessible and affordable healthcare.”

About Horizon Health Foundation The Horizon Health Foundation was established in 2016 to ensure rural health care access to those in need and provide funding for Horizon Health Care.
