Horizon Health Foundation adds new position of Fundraising Officer

(HOWARD, SD) – Horizon Health Foundation recently named Brianna Mae Feldhaus as the new Fundraising Officer; a new position to the organization.

The Fundraising Officer position was added to expand the organization’s fundraising capacity and meet the growing needs of Horizon Health Care patients and the communities we serve.  In her new role, Feldhaus will lead and continue to develop the annual fundraising programs, as well as maintain relationships with current and new donors to the foundation.

Feldhaus, a Howard native, has spent the past four years employed with Horizon Health Care as Human Resource Generalist. In this capacity, she handled recruitment efforts and has established a multitude of relationships across the state.

“With her passion and knowledge of the organization, Brianna will be a great addition to the Horizon Health Foundation team,” said Tracy Pardy, Horizon Health Foundation Executive Director. “Together, we are excited to continue building relationships across the Horizon footprint and expand our reach to ensure our communities have access to health care now and into the future.”

Feldhaus holds a Master’s degree from the University of Kansas in Higher Education and Policy Administration. She earned her undergraduate degree in Communication Studies and Criminal Justice from the University of South Dakota, with a minor in Spanish.

“I am looking forward to having the opportunity to have a larger platform to empower and inspire our patients in this new role,” said Feldhaus.

The Horizon Health Foundation was established in 2016 to ensure rural health care access to those in need and provide funding for Horizon Health Care. Horizon Health Foundation, a tax-exempt, non-profit corporation, seeks through responsible activities to encourage and derive sustaining gift support from current and former patients and interested friends, including corporate entities. The Horizon Health Foundation, operating in coordination with Horizon Health Care is the duly designated fundraising arm for Horizon Health Care.  In the broadest sense, the purpose of the Foundation is to create an awareness of the financial needs of Horizon Health Care, which are not provided by patient charges and to systematically implement plans by which dollar needs can be met.
