(HOWARD, SD) – Horizon Health Care, Inc. (Horizon) medical and dental employees from the organization’s central region locations (Wessington Springs, Fort Thompson, Plankinton, and Woonsocket) were recently recognized for their contributions to Horizon Health Foundation’s first-ever employee giving campaign.
The employee giving campaign kicked off in October 2016 and raised over $33,000 in cash and pledges from Horizon employees throughout 19 communities. As a part of the campaign, the region with the highest participation rate won a catered dinner served by the Horizon Health Care, Inc. Executive Team.
Medical and dental employees from the central region locations donated over $4,300 with a 48% participation rate to earn their special dinner. “I am proud of my Horizon colleagues for coming together to support our patients and invest in the future of rural health care,” said Melissa Davis, CNP, of Aurora County Community Health Center. “I have personally chosen to give to the Horizon Foundation to give back to my community and our patients.”
The Horizon Health Foundation was formed to pursue the mission of inspiring and empowering patients by providing funding for accessible and affordable health care now and into the future. For more information, please visit http://www.horizonhealthfoundation.com or call 605.772.5907.
