(HOWARD, SD) – Summer is in full swing with all its pool days, summer camps, cook outs and fireworks.
As parents you know summer fun sometimes ends with a trip to your primary care provider. Thanks to our generous donors, Horizon Health Foundation helps provide quality care close to home. All funds received go back into our local communities to help patients like you.
Here’s a few ways our Foundation helps break down barriers to your child’s health care:
Annual Wellness Physicals: You don’t have to go any farther than your hometown clinic to book an annual wellness check for your child. Wellness checks care for children ages 6 to 17 because good primary care doesn’t end with childhood immunizations. Our providers check your child’s physical and mental well-being during these visits to make sure they’re ready for the next school year. Horizon is currently scheduling these appointments for the 2023-2024 school year.
Dental Care: Children should see a dentist as early as age 1. Our Smiles for Miles program provides free dental checkups, cleanings and fluoride treatments for kids under 5 during the month of October. Dental care that begins before your child’s first birthday makes it easier for them to socialize, learn and listen! Schedule an appointment today!
Transportation and Food Security: Sometimes it’s hard to meet our family’s daily needs. Our Foundation can help with that as well. We have grocery gift cards and gas cards available for patients in need.
