“The Bull Bash coordinated by the Horizon Health Foundation is a great opportunity for our western South Dakota communities to get together, enjoy bull riding action, hospitality and fun, all while raising support for our local community clinics.” said Brent Thiel, a member of the Isabel Rodeo Association and Cowboys Care Bull Bash Event Committee.“

"I'm very excited to bring this event to the region and help Horizon patients and communities.” Tracy Pardy, Horizon Health Foundation Executive Director said. “The Isabel Rodeo Association and volunteers in the community have been working hard since October to put together a family fun event for a great cause!”

Each of the past three years the Horizon Health Foundation and Horizon Health Care hosted a large-scale fundraising event in a Horizon community. Previously that event was the Pars for Patients Golf Tournament hosted in Howard, Alcester, and Wessington Springs respectively. It only seemed fitting to add a rodeo aspect when the event moved west. The three golf events netted over $150,000 and spread the Horizon mission and message to over 3,000 people.
