Horizon Health Foundation recently received a $15,000 gift from the Alcester Community Foundation. The Alcester Community Foundation supports economic development, human services, health, education and cultural programs in the Alcester area. As supporters of the Horizon Health Foundation for over 6 years, the Alcester Community Foundation has assisted in many previous medical and dental projects to support the Horizon Health Care clinics in the community.
This generous donation will support updates to the Alcester Community Health Center, including new flooring, paint and a Hi-Lo exam table, which combines an exam chair with a power table to allow greater patient comfort and ease in getting on and off the table without a step.
“The Alcester Community Foundation continues to provide generous contributions to improve our community,” said Karen Pearson, PA-C and provider at Alcester Community Health Center. “We’re grateful for their support of our clinic and for the high-quality patient care it will help us provide.”
As the lead-anchor matching sponsor for the Alcester Community Health Center updates, the Alcester Community Foundation encourages others to support the project with a gift, which they will match up to $15,000. You can also purchase a dinner ticket, buy a raffle ticket, and participate in the live and silent auctions at the Horizon Health Foundation’s Pars for Patients golf tournament on June 10th. The Horizon Health Foundation was established in 2016 to ensure rural health care access to those in need and provide funding for Horizon Health Care. Horizon Health Foundation, a tax-exempt, non-profit corporation, seeks through responsible activities to encourage and derive sustaining gift support from current and former patients and interested friends, including corporate entities. The Horizon Health Foundation, operating in coordination with Horizon Health Care, is the duly designated fundraising arm for Horizon Health Care. In the broadest sense, the purpose of the Foundation is to create an awareness of the financial needs of Horizon Health Care, which are not provided by patient charges and to systematically implement plans by which dollar needs can be met.
